The National Weather Service says a flood watch remains for the entire region through tonight.

A trough trailing southwest from Colin continues providing the energy for many showers and scattered thunderstorms today.

Expect today’s rainfall totals to range between between one inch and three.

With the ground already saturated, any more heavy rainfall likely causes flooding in low-lying and flood prone areas. Also expect ponding of water on the roads today.

Those who live along rivers and faster flowing streams should remain alert to any rapid rises in water levels.

Additionally, areas along the coast have a high surf advisory for this afternoon, as well as a high rip current risk.

The high surf ranges between three and six feet.
