An Allegiant Air flight from Punta Gorda to Lexington, Kentucky was forced to divert on Tuesday morning. Blue Grass Airport spokeswoman Amy Caudill says the runway at the Lexington airport was closed for about an hour Tuesday after a twin-engine private plane veered off a runway after landing about 7 a.m. Allegiant flight 1652 was forced to divert to Johnson City, Tri-Cities, Tennessee. That plane eventually landed in Lexington around 10am, about 45 minutes behind schedule.
