First Responder Fundraiser to Honor Sgt. Elio Diaz This Saturday in Port Charlotte

The community is coming together this Saturday, February 22, to honor the late Sgt. Elio Diaz with a First Responder Fundraiser at the HOA Clubhouse, 14859 Ingraham Blvd. The event, running from 2 PM to 10 PM, will feature live music, raffles, a golf cart parade, and an outdoor movie night, with all proceeds benefiting Sgt. Diazâs family.
The afternoon kicks off with a Golf Cart Parade at 2 PM to pay tribute to Sgt. Diaz, followed by a Yard Sign Parade at 2:30 PM. Live music begins at 3 PM, with performances by:
Morgan Sky (3:00-4:00 PM, Outside)
The Boca Beach Boys (4:00-5:00 PM, Inside)
Marker 5 Band (5:00-6:30 PM, Outside)
Attendees can enjoy classic American fare, with hamburgers and hotdogs available for purchase. A 50/50 raffle and raffle tickets for a chance to win $1,000 will also be available. The grand prize drawing, sponsored by Vantage Homes, will take place at the event, but the winner does not need to be present to win.
The evening will wrap up with a special outdoor screening of Police Academy allowing attendees to watch from their golf carts or bring a chair to enjoy the movie under the stars.
This event is organized by the Conservancy & Community Trust of SOC and aims to support Sgt. Diazâs family in his memory. Community members are encouraged to participate and show their appreciation for his service.
