The fight over Sarasota County’s non-discrimination language as it pertains to transgender students continues to draw the ire of a pair of school board members, including board chair Bridget Ziegler.
Ziegler has asked superintendent Todd Bowden to add a formal motion to the board agenda, which would give a public notice.
The Herald-Tribune reports both Ziegler and School Board Member Eric Robinson have been vocal about their opposition to certain elements of the gender guidelines.
Ziegler said not requiring parents to be part of the conversation was “completely stripping” their “rights.”
