A man was stabbed early Tuesday morning in Venice after a verbal fight escalated into a physical one before the stabbing occurred. The crime took place around 1am on Bella Vista Terrace. Police arrived and found a 25-year-old man with a single stab wound to his stomach. 20-year-old Marco Deal Real was also still at the scene. After a brief investigation on scene, Del Real was placed under arrest and the victim was transported to a hospital where he underwent surgery. The two were in a fight over drug money and the fact that the Del Real is dating the victim’s mother. Del Real was placed under arrest for aggravated battery for the stabbing and destruction of evidence for washing the blood off the knife.
