Florida Highway Patrol officials say two men are pretending to be police officers and pulling people over on I-75 in order to then steal their vehicles.
An FHP report says a man was driving on 75 near mile marker 56 when a pickup truck with red and blue lights and a louspeaker pulled up behind him, and order him to pull over.
The two men ordered the victim in a passenger to exit the truck, hand over their licenses, and move to the grass shoulder. That’s with the other so-called officer hopped behind the drivers seat and took off.
FHP is urging everyone to not stop for someone that doesn’t appear to be a legitimate law enforcement officer and to call them if you think something’s fishy.
