The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help to find a driver who hit and killed a 19-year-old Venice man late Sunday night.
The accident happened on U.S. 41 near Short Drive in southern Sarasota County around 11:30 p.m.
Troopers say 19-year-old Zachary O’Bry was trying to cross US-41, when he was hit by a maroon SUV who failed to stop. O’Bry was airlifted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FHP.
