A man died from a fatal overdose of an opioid derivative and now police have charged a woman with manslaughter. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has charged 40-year-old Lisa Ross with the crime after 39-year-old Michael Galler had multiple seizures after she injected with the drug. EMT’s gave the man reversal medication, but Galler died at the hospital. The medical examiner determined that Galler died of oxygen deprivation. The drug Ross gave Galler contained fentanyl and she remains in the Sarasota County jail on a no bail hold.
