A man died in a crash this morning in Punta Gorda.
The highway patrol said it happened on Burnt Store Road.
WBBH-TV reports his vehicle veere off the road and hit a tree.
The crash closed Burnt Store Road from Scham Road to Tern Bay Boulevard.
It diverted traffic on Zemel and Notre Dame to Route 41.
