The FAA has honored Punta Gorda Airport.
The airport has received this year’s Air Carrier Airport Safety Award for the Southern Region.
The FAA claims Punta Gorda Airport “has worked hard to enhance safety, which increasing operation effectiveness.”
It says the airport has made 18 safety improvements.
FDOT has just named Punta Gorda Airport its Commercial Service Airport of the Year.
