Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies will be conducting traffic enforcement emphasis patrols on a number of roads next week.
Speed Enforcement patrols will be out on the entire length of Taylor Road in Punta Gorda aling with Veterans Blvd. between Tamiami Trail and Harbor Blvd in Port Charlotte
There will be two traffic light patrols – both in Port Charlotte with the first at ElJobean Rd and Flamingo Blvd and the other at Tamiami Trail and Murdock Circle.
According to the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles, Charlotte County has 22 vehicle deaths so far this year; there were 19 deaths this same time last year.
