Gov. Scott has issued a death warrant for James Asay. Asay is set to die August 24th after being convicted in 1998 of killing two men in Jacksonville. Asay’s scheduled March execution was stayed due to arguments heard at the federal level that said the death penalty in Florida is unconstitutional.
