Treated wastewater is at the center of a discussion that has environmentalists pointing the finger at Gov. Rick Scott to veto a piece of legislation. The law could allow water to be pumped underground to help the state’s building industry. Developers and supporters of the proposal say the innovation is crucial to allowing the state’s economy to continue grow in a state that water is hard to come by at times. Scott has not taken a stance as of yet and has not vetoed any bills.
