A Saturday death investigation in Englewood has resulted in the arrest of one woman. 48-year old Jessica Winkler had dialed 911 Saturday afternoon and told dispatchers she had murdered her wife inside their Overbrook Road home. At the scene, officers found the body of 51-year-old Rhiannon Layendecker in the bed of her own truck. Detectives later determined that Winkler murdered Layendecker during an argument in the early hours of Saturday morning. She is now charged with murder and evidence tampering after she allegedly tried to dispose of some evidence in a nearby pond.
