It was a busy day Saturday at the Englewood Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club as its members packed nearly 150 thousand meals for local food banks. And the amazing part is the time it took to complete the job. With hundreds of members and volunteers putting together the food, I took only two hours to get the job done. The battle against Hunger in Englewood is called Holidays Without Hunger and is part of the Naples-based non-profit Meals of Hope. The putting together of meals is doing throughout Florida and Saturday’s project in Englewood raised over $30 thousand to cover the cost of food.
