A rescue took place in Charlotte Harbor Tuesday after a man fell overboard some time near midnight. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and Charlotte County Fire Rescue helped to find the deckhand who had fallen from a shrimp boat. The crew had traveled around a half mile away from where the man had fallen off before they realized he was missing. It took about an hour for officers to find the man, who was safe.
