An elderly North Port woman has been charged after a crash with a motorcycle severely injured two riders. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 71-year old Joan Marie Gregoire was stopped in the median at US-41 and El Prado Avenue on Monday when she failed to see a Harley-Davidson on US-41, and crashed into the side of the bike. 54-year old Brian Donald Gordon of North Port was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. 42-year old Christine Lynn Caraher was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with critical injuries. Neither rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
