A 75-year-old man is recovering after being struck by a vehicle on Monday in Venice. According to city officials, the man was hit in the 300 block of West Tampa Ave. around 7:50 a.m. He was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
