We’re eight days away from the primary election, and early voting has now started for the Mar. 20 elections in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Voters in both counties will be voting on school district Ad Valorem Millages. In Manatee, it equates to one dollar for every thousand of property value after $25,000. The Manatee levy is expected to generate $30M for the school district. In Sarasota County, voters wil choose whether to extend the current one-mil levy thats’s already in place. Two other races are on the ballot- Holiday Park Park & Recreation District, and the general election in Longboat Key.
