The highway patrol has charged an 89-year-old man for hitting someone with his vehicle on Hinton Street.
It has ticketed Fred Wagner for failing to use due care.
The troopers say Wagner drove south towards Laverne Avenue as he hit 31-year-old Seth Lippson.
They believe it happened as Lippson walked in the road close to a driveway.
He went to Lee Memorial Hospital with critical injuries.
