A Port Charlotte woman remains in the hospital after deputies allege her boyfriend shot her during a domestic dispute. On Tuesday night, deputies were called to Bayfront Hospital in Port Charlotte after a woman came into the emergency room, suffering from a a gunshot wound. The private vehicle that got her to the hospital was also seized for processing. After interviewing witnesses and the victim herself, police arrested her boyfriend, 22-year-old Durante Bernard Clark. He’s been charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and remains in the Charlotte County Jail.
