A nasty virus that could kill your dogs is spreading through Lee County. The parvovirus spreads when dogs come into contact with dirt contaminated with feces. The dogs then track it into the house, and it gets into their intestines. Pets typically don’t show signs or symptoms for 10 days, and when they do it can be vomiting and more. They can die if untreated. Officials say once symptoms appear, you typically have one to two days to get your puppy to the hospital for aggressive treatment..There is a preventive solution. A vaccine, once a pupp is atleast six weeks old.
