Deputies say DNA evidence links a 40-year-old Sarasota man to two violent crimes, including an attempted murder and a sexual battery, from the early 2000s.
A week ago, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office received a warrant to take DNA from Darryl King, Jr. and have it tested against two crimes that happened in the early 2000s. Deputies say on Friday, the tests came back as a match.
