Being discharged from the hospital is normally a good thing, but for one Florida man, it meant missing the end of a sporting event he was watching on television. 40-year-old John Deandrade barricaded himself in his hospital room inside Bayfront Health in Port Charlotte Sunday, even after being discharged by doctors. Deandrade was told by hospital security that he was trespassing and he still would not leave the premises. He had secured the door from the inside with some hospital furniture, which the police were able to move once they were on scene. Police handcuffed Deandrade after he would not comply with their requests. On the way to the police station, Deandrade decided that cursing at the cops and beating on the car was also a good idea. He is charged with trespassing and resisting an officer.
