Police in Englewood are looking for a man named as a suspect in connection with an August 20th home invasion and robbery. On the 20th, deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Eleventh Street in Englewood for a reported disturbance. Upon entering the home, deputies found 54-year Charles Williams inside, dead. Witnesses told police two men broke into the house, armed, and demanded cell phones and tried to steal a safe. A struggle insued, with Williams being shot. Police say one of the men involved in the robbery was 34-year old Edwin Lee Randall. He’s now charged with Murder and Home Invasion Robbery with a Firearm. Anyone with information on his location is asked to call police.
