A tropical depression keeps pouring rain on Cuba, but it may head back towards Florida this afternoon.

The National Hurricane Center says the storm keeps heading northwest at seven miles per hour.

The storm may turn northeast and come back here, and a tropical storm watch may pop up for parts of the Gulf Coast today.

However, forecasters call it unlikely for the storm to turn into a hurricane by the time it makes landfall in Florida.

In its forecast for this area, the National Weather Service includes the expression “tropical storm conditions possible” for tomorrow night and Thursday.
