September 20th is the date of the dedication ceremony for the E. Jay Carlson Community Development Building, at 18400 Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte. Carlson died last year. He was a third-generation builder. The dedication, set for 2:30 p.m. that day, is to mark the completion of the addition and remodeling of the building and the renaming of it.
