A serious crash this afternoon completely shut down Stringfellow Road in Bokeelia.
WBBH-TV reports it happened at around noon, but one lane reopened at 3:30.
This affected Stringfellow near Durrance Road.
One of the vehicles caught fire, but no one reported any injuries.
School officials said the road closure affected buses taking students home.
The lane that reopened allowed some of them to drive their routes, but others had to go to Mariner High School before getting home.
