A crash in the front entrance of a senior living center in Venice resulted in a death of a man in his 90s. According to Venice police, it happened early Thursday afternoon at Aston Gardens at Pelican Pointe just off Pinebrook Road. A male driving an F-450 pickup hit the man who was transported to a Sarasota hospital in critical condition. He died later in the day. The victim’s name was not immediately released. The driver of the pickup was not injured.
