Coyotes have made their way to Sarasota County. People have reported seeing the animals all over, from downtown Sarasota to Osprey. Some residents reported seeing an entire pack of them in Longboat Key.
City workers in Sarasota posted a video to social media of a coyote strolling through downtown, just west of US-41 this week.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission says coyotes rarely will approach people, but loud noises will typically scare them away.
