Sarasota County and the Red Cross have opened a number of Comfort Centers around Sarasota County. Those centers were set up as a place to go for people who are still without power after Irma. The centers have snacks, drinks, air conditioning, and plenty of plugs to charge cell phones, computers and tablets. There are 9 Centers in all. They reach from North Sarasota, to Myakka City to North Port, Venice and Longboat Key.
