The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public, especially the business community to be aware of an increase in materials being stolen from construction sites. Items that have been stolen include household appliances, as well as construction items such as lumber, dry wall and sheet rock. Police are reminding residents who may live near construction sites to be aware of any suspicious activity in the area.
