Starting today, North Sumter Boulevard in North Port will undergo construction. That means lane closures and delays during all hours of the day. According to a release from the city of North Port, North Sumter Boulevard from just north of Interstate 75 to Tropicaire Boulevard will be repaved today and tomorrow. Residents and drivers are asked to use caution and to anticipate delays as there will be periodic one lane closures throughout the project.
