Sarasota County will test out its CodeRed system tomorrow. The system is set up to alert residents to receive calls, emails, and text messages when an emergency is in the area. The alerts include public works interruptions, traffic issues or missing person alerts and of course weather messages linked to the National Weather Service. The test is scheduled for some time between 10a-6p and will direct you to a website where additional information will be available.
