Hurricane Irma caused devastation in several parts of Florida, but areas that continue to be affected are the waters. Things are, and will not be back to normal for some time, but a new phone application will allow people who spend time on the water the chance to help cleanup one of Florida’s greatest attractions. A company has developed the application that users will be able to navigate through and mark if something in a waterway seems out of place. The affected waters are loaded with debris and Navionocs has created a way to help clean-up the area through smart phone technology. When debris is located by a member of the boating community, a message will be sent to the company for marking on a map. Then the map will be combed over by weather professionals in an attempt to clean the water of leftover debris. The website is https://www.navionics.com/usa.
