Concrete replacement and asphalt resurfacing is progressing on the island of Venice for the Road Bond Resurfacing Project, Phase 1. The contractor will be removing the old asphalt pavement and installing new asphalt pavement over the next two weeks. Roads that will be affected are the following:

” Barcelona Ave.
” Granada Ave.
” Castile St.
” Armada Rd. S.
” Alhambra Rd.
” Valencia Rd.
” Menendez St.
” Lisbon St.
Please be aware that any private improvement such as landscaping or sprinkler heads directly against the roadway could be impacted during the pavement removal process. The contractor will be restoring the area after the paving process is complete, and your patience is greatly appreciated. City officials ask residents to remove any obstructions from the roadway edge and try not to park in the roadway during this time period.
