A child in Charlotte County was airlifted to a Tampa area hospital after being hit by a car just before noon today in Punta Gorda. Police say the accident happened at the intersection of Rampart Blvd. and Capricorn Blvd. in the Deep Creek area. Police on the scene report the pre-teen boy had leg injuries and was boing transported to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg. That investigation is on going.
