Charlotte County has a new weapon in its arsenal against mosquitoes. New larvicides that the county is using is killing mosquitoes before they can develop past the egg stage. So far, it appears to be working. County mosquito control officials told NBC-2 they’re seeing fewer and fewer salt marsh mosquitoes, allowing them to focus on the new spray techniques.
