A Charlotte County pharmacist is accused of stealing drugs from the pharmacy where he worked. The sheriff’s office says that 38-year-old Jatin-Kumar Patel worked in the soon-to-be-closed K-Mart in Port Charlotte. Store managers said that more than 74-hundred Oxycodone pills were missing. Patel told deputies that he had a customer who needed the pills and he sold them to him for extra money. Patel is charged with three counts of grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
