The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of its K9 officers. The German Shepherd named Edo escaped from his kennel on Saturday night and had been reported missing. On Monday, officers in North Port found Edo, dead. A necropsy was done yesterday afternoon, and found the dog’s internal injuries were consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
