PORT CHARLOTTE

Englewood Beach Parking fees have been at the source of controversy over the years. Next week the Charlotte County Commissioners will once again take on the issue.

The History Of Beach Parking
• Paid beach parking began in 1992
• Historically, Englewood Beach utilized: Attended gate
parking, Pay and Display Parking, Pay by Space for
payment
• Currently all parking operations use ParkMobile app for
payment or require parking pass
• CCSO is the authorized enforcement agency

It can get confusing for some beaches in Englewood being in Charlotte County and also in Sarasota County.

Englewood Beach at Chadwick Park is a pay-to-park facility (75 cents/hour). Seasonal or annual parking passes may be purchased at any recreation center, the Charlotte County Tax Collectors office or by calling 941 625 7529.
