Charlotte County Commissioners Approve New RV Resort, Residential Subdivisions
Charlotte County commissioners approved final site plans for a new RV resort in Rotonda West and two residential subdivisions in Englewood and Port Charlotte on Tuesday.
- Cabana Bay RV Resort by Boca Grande in Rotonda West will consist of 170 RV units, ball courts, a swimming pool, dog park, and more than 2.9 acres of commercial space. The project site is situated on more than 38 acres at 311 Rotonda Blvd. E.
- Island Lakes at Coco Bay in Englewood will cover more than 120 acres south of San Casa Drive, northeast of Placida Road, and west of Winchester Boulevard. The residential development will consist of 222 single-family homes and villas built by Lennar, along with 17 tracts.
- Harbor East in Port Charlotte is north of Tate Waterway, southwest of Interceptor Lagoon, and east of Aquarius Waterway. The subdivision is planned for 82 single-family lots and six tracts on more than 31 acres. Lennar is also building homes in this development.
Construction on all three projects is expected to begin soon.
