A Charlotte County woman is in custody this afternoon for murder after she and her boyfriend were involved in a domestic dispute on Sunday evening, Ashley Britto, 33, is charged with second-degree murder. The stabbing happened Sunday night in the 2200 block of Lake View Boulevard. Charlotte County Fire and EMS transported the man to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Detectives are working to notify the man’s family before releasing his identity. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office says the two had a long history of arguments involving police including 5 previous times in March and twice in June.
