A traffic stop in Charlotte County led to a meth bust on Tuesday. According to a report from the sheriff’s office, deputies made a traffic stop near the Circle K on Marlympia Way around 11:30am. One deputy on patrol spotted a woman known to police, 29-year old Rachel Gibbs entering the convenience store. When the deputy approached, Gibbs refused to comply with orders to stay outside her vehicle. A quick search of the car found three bags of meth and a soda can that had been cut to conceal items. She’s charged with meth possession and driving on a suspended license.
