Officials in Charlotte County were out searching this week for the remains of a woman in a 24-year old cold case murder.
Cold weather forced police to call off the search yesterday for Christine Flahive, who went missing in 1995.
The Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Unit went to a wooded area off Fairway Drive and tested the soil on site with forensic anthropologists from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Investigators will next head to a site off Education Avenue once soil samples are tested from the Fairway Drive site.
