A Charlotte County inmate died on Friday.
The sheriff’s office says 54-year-old David Szakalos of Englewood died after jumping from a housing pod earlier this month.
Szakalos fell onto concrete decking below.
Since then, he had spent time at a hospital.
This death investigation continues.
