A Charlotte County sheriff’s deputy was found to have resigned over suspicion that he was tampering with his own drug tests.
Back on March 9, Deputy Justin Treworgy took a random test, but needed to submit to a second sample- while giving that sample, officials say the deputy had his hands in his pockets and blocked the observer’s view.
Shortly after the second test, his superiors reported his work performance had lagged. That, combined with the suspicious drug test activity, led to a third test on March 21st, this time a hair sample. He resigned eight days later.
