It took nearly four years, but police in Charlotte County have finally recovered a stolen car…albeit from the bottom of a lake. Deputies on patrol with the Aviation Unit spotted the white Ford Taurus in Lake Betty in Port Charlotte on Wednesday. Using the car’s VIN, deputies were able to identify it as a car that was reported stolen back in 2014. No word on if the case is open and active.
