Nearly five pounds of marijuana was found in a large growing operating in Port Charlotte. Members of the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit went to a home on Sturkie Avenue late last week armed with a search warrant. Between the garage and house, officials say they recovered around 4.7 pounds of the drug. The man living at the home, 63-year old Dwight Lee Nobles, is now charged with manufacturing marijuana among other drug crimes.
