A man died yesterday after crashing his motorcycle in Port Charlotte.
Authorities say he crashed it into a tree at Starlite Lane and Midway Boulevard.
The highway patrol says 32-year-old Jason Dorris drove northbound as he hit the tree.
The force threw Dorris from his bike.
He went to Bayfront Health Port Charlotte Hospital, where officials pronounced him dead.
The crash briefly blocked the intersection.
